MassDOT closing Holland Road over Wales Brook Bridge

WALES, Mass. (WWLP)– Drivers in Wales are being warned of a road closure in the town that may cause delays.

The Holland Road Bridge in Wales will be closed beginning Monday, September 16, and continuing through Monday, October 7 for the replacement of the bridge. The road construction is part of a Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Wales Brook Bridge Replacement project.

During the closure, traffic will be detoured along the following roads:

• Wales Road (Route 19)
• Haynes Hill Road
• New Holland Road
• North Wales Road
• Holland Road

Signs and messaging will be available to guide drivers, who may want to seek alternate routes. All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency.
