    Massachusetts Building at The Big E has seven new food and beverage vendors

    WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Massachusetts Building along the Avenue of States at The Big E is preparing to open Friday with over 30 local businesses representing agriculture, commerce, and tourism industries.

    Massachusetts’ flagship building and six other New England original statehouse replicas are located along the Avenue of States at The Big E. Inside, visitors can find exhibitors displaying soaps, handmade jewelry, travel and tourism information, and a rustic beer garden.

    The Big E hosts 13 new food vendors for 2024 fair

    This year, seven new food and beverage vendors will be among those inside the building, Janik’s Pierogi Café, Mexirico, Moeshmallows, Mrs. Moriconi’s Ice Cream, Sweet Babu’s, The Bone Sauce, and Wise Mouth Teas.

    “As the host state of the Eastern States Exposition, we’re proud to welcome people from all over Massachusetts and beyond to the Big E. The Massachusetts Building is more than just a feature – it’s a vital showcase of our state’s rich agricultural heritage,” said Governor Maura Healey. “This building offers an immersive experience into the unique traditions, innovations, and character that define Massachusetts. It’s a must-visit for anyone wanting to truly understand and appreciate what makes our state stand out in New England.”

    “The Massachusetts Building is a powerhouse for our local economy, highlighting small businesses from every corner of the state. From farm-fresh foods to handcrafted goods, it’s where the best of our communities that hail from all over the state come together to promote and sell their local products,” said Lieutenant. Governor Kim Driscoll. “We encourage everyone to visit the Massachusetts Building and experience the incredible range of products that showcase our vibrant economy and community spirit.”

    “For over a century, the Massachusetts Building at the Big E has spotlighted the power of local agriculture,” said Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Rebecca Tepper. “Fairgoers experience the best that Massachusetts has to offer through exceptional food, beverages, and retail products, all rooted in our rich agricultural heritage. We are proud to support and elevate our local farmers and small businesses and the vital industries they represent.”

    “The Big E is a powerful catalyst for economic activity in Massachusetts,” said Economic Development Secretary Yvonne Hao. “By showcasing our state’s diverse industries, products, and businesses, we are not only attracting visitors, but also fostering new partnerships and driving economic growth throughout the state.”

    “The Massachusetts Building offers visitors the opportunity to experience agriculture, tourism, arts, and the culture of our great state,” said MDAR Commissioner Ashley Randle. “Whether you enjoy clam chowder, Boston Crème pies, ice cream or want to shop for locally made artisanal quality goods, we encourage attendees to visit, eat, and shop at the best building on the Avenue of States!”

    “The Big E is more than just an event; it’s a gateway to discovering the spirit of Massachusetts,” said Kate Fox, Executive Director at the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism. “From the ocean’s edge to vibrant fall foliage, immerse yourself in history, culture, sports, agriculture, and culinary delights.”
