Nearly 50 violations found in Indian Orchard neighborhood

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield police shared photos of a recent ordinance sweep in an Indian Orchard neighborhood.

The Springfield police ordinance unit conducted a “park and walk” on Thursday and issued 49 ordinance violations, five parking tickets, and towed one unregistered vehicle.

Land maintenance is the responsibility of the homeowner. The ordinance unit is encouraging residents to follow the city’s “ Good Neighbor Handbook ,” to avoid code enforcement violations
