CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Inflation is slowing to its lowest levels since 2021.

According to the Labor Department, housing prices remain a top issue and the cooldown can be felt in food prices and energy costs.

However, in the Bay State, locals are not feeling the relief. Magna Duvrne from East Longmeadow told 22News, “Now it’s almost $150 only for fruits, only fruits, a couple of things for breakfast, the money we get paid it just like you spend it for living.”

Although inflation has eased, It does not necessarily mean you’ll feel the relief. The cool-down means the cost of living is not increasing as fast.

Airline fares and car insurance are other goods that are on the upward trend.
