    Man charged with operating drug factory in Connecticut held on $2 million bond

    ENFIELD, Conn. ( WWLP ) – A man was arrested in connection with operating a drug factory in Enfield after police executed a search warrant last week.

    According to the Enfield Police Department, on Thursday, September 12th search warrants were executed at an apartment on 55 Main Street in Enfield. Law enforcement seized five illegal handguns, now of which was confirmed stolen, approximately 400 grams of cocaine/crack cocaine, and a large amount of cash.

    Firearm manufacturing operation in Springfield discovered during drug bust investigation

    A resident at the home, 34-year-old Rahkeem Blakely was arrested and charged with the following:

    • Operation of a Drug Factory
    • Possession of Narcotics with intent to distribute
    • Criminal Possession of a firearm (5 counts)
    • Possession of a stolen firearm
    • Negligent storage of a firearm (5 counts)
    • Interfering with a search warrant
    • Violation of large capacity magazine ban
    • Possession of drug paraphernalia
    • Criminal mischief in the 3rd degree

    Blakely is being held on a $2,000,000 surety bond. The investigation was conducted by members of the Enfield Police, DEA in Springfield and Hartford, and the DEA New England SRT.
