This year marks the first year western Massachusetts will have high school club teams.

Western Massachusetts has four teams; Springfield International, Westfield Technical Academy, South Hadley High School, and Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School.

“Over the summer an email went out to all the athletic directors, athletic coordinators to see if there’s any interest”, says the Athletic Coordinator of Westfield Technical Academy, Kyle Dulude.

In Massachusetts, the pickleball high school league includes 10 teams. Five of those are in central Massachusetts and another is in eastern Massachusetts.

Those playing say they enjoy picking up another sport and having something fun to do after school.

If your child would like to join any of the club teams, they can reach out to the Athletic Coordinator of Westfield Technical Academy, Kyle Dulude.
