SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The 14th annual ‘Ride Like an Animal’ motorcycle run to benefit animals at the TJO Animal Control & Adoption Center exceeded its goal.

According to the nonprofit organization, Foundation for TJO Animals, their goal this year of $10,000 was surpassed with more than $14,000 raised along with a record attendance of over 180 motorcycles.

On September 14th the participants decked out their bikes and took a relaxing, scenic ride through western Massachusetts and the fun continued with an after-party at the Ludlow Elks. Guests enjoyed food, live music, raffles, vendors, and supporting the shelter’s impact.

TJO is dedicated to raising funds to help and house local animals in Springfield, Holyoke, and Chicopee. If you and your family are ready to adopt a pet this fall, you can find adoption information as well as a list of pets available, and other ways to get involved on their website .
