Baystate Health makes senior leadership changes

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Baystate Health has made some changes to its senior leadership.

Three members of the senior leadership team are parting ways with the hospital group. In a statement to 22News Baystate Health said, “We took time over the past four months to best understand the leadership capabilities we have today, what we need to have going forward to be more clinician-driven and physician-led, and what changes needed to be made to bridge the gap.

Baystate Health said the three senior leadership changes were made on Monday. They said they have experienced multiple years of significant operating losses which has impacted their balance sheet and there has been an increased reliance on funding sources. They will be engaging in discussions internally to establish a new operating model, system organizational structure and streamlined decision-making processes.

Baystate said they are diligently focused on their efforts over the next two years to transform and create a clear path to consistency, predictability, profitability and growth.
