CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – It’s the end of September and the leaves are changing color.

The 22News Storm Team is working for you with when we might see peak color here in western Massachusetts.

It is still early but we continue to see more and more color showing up.

While there is still plenty of green, you can see more orange, reds, and yellow on some of the trees. While it may still be a few weeks until we see really good color here in the lower Pioneer Valley we’re seeing some better foliage right now to our north.

Bre Haut of Agawam told 22News, “I just mentioned the other day that I felt like the leaves were already turning, somebody had sent a picture, they had driven up north. So definitely we always take rides to go see the foliage.”

According to The Foliage Report, we’re seeing some good color right now in New York and northern New England, especially in northeastern Vermont.

Here in western Massachusetts, we should see peak color around Columbus Day which is on October, 14th.
