WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Fairgoers have just a few days left to enjoy all the sights and sounds The Big E has to offer and that means many exciting things are happening on the grounds over the next three days.
Saturday is Hooplandia Day, celebrating Springfield’s basketball tradition. Plus, special Olympics Day is on Sunday, and athletes will be welcome to experience all the fair has to offer.
Six Flags Fright Fest begins this weekend Some big-name performers will take to the stage this weekend. Brothers Osborne is performing on Friday night, Public Enemy on Saturday and then Big Time Rush will take to the Big E Arena on the final day.

With all these exciting events, there is likely to be traffic heading into the fair, so plan ahead for your day. Leave early, have a plan to park, and stay patient.
This year, The Big E broke seven attendance records, and it’s not done yet! 2024 attendance totals just over 1.2 million people, and the all-time single-day attendance record was set last Saturday with 178,608 people through the gates.
