According to MassDOT, beginning on Tuesday, the Fifth Street Bridge will be closed 24/7 through Friday. A posted detour will be in place so crews can perform necessary repairs to the bridge.

Drivers who need to travel in that area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. Signage and messaging will be in place to help guide drivers through the construction. All scheduled work is weather-dependent and subject to change without notice.
