UMassFive winter coat and clothing drive accepting donations

HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – The UMassFive College Federal Credit Union’s annual winter coat and clothing drive is underway.

They are seeking donations of new, or gently used coats, gloves, scarves, hats, sweaters, snow gear, and boots. Items should be clean and placed in bags. The items will be distributed in partnership with the Amherst Survival Center, Gray House in Springfield, and Net of Compassion in Worcester.

“We know that our neighbors in need have come to count on the coats and warm clothing our members donate during this drive,” says Cait Murray, UMassFive Community Outreach Manager. “We are so grateful to partner with the great local organizations that can ensure donations are directed where they can have a significant impact.”

Items and monetary donations can be dropped off during business hours throughout October at the following UMassFive branches:

• 200 Westgate Center Drive, Hadley
• 225 King Street, Northampton
• UMass Amherst Campus Center Branch (Room 224)
• 233 Carew Street, Springfield (Mercy Hospital Rehabilitation Building, Room 110)
• Worcester Branch (UMass Chan Medical School, Room S1-820)
