PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) – Drivers traveling eastbound on the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) should be prepared for delays on Tuesday.

Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) work crews will be conducting paving operations on I-90 eastbound in Palmer, just east of exit 63, on Tuesday, October 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A lane closure will be in place during this work.

Columbus Day weekend events in western Mass.

Travelers should expect delays and speed reductions and may want to consider alternate routes. Signs and law enforcement details will be in place to guide traffic.

The road construction work is weather-dependent and subject to change without notice.
