    Man shot on Belmont Ave in Springfield

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A man was found shot in the area of Belmont Ave. in Springfield early Monday morning and is expected to recover, police say.

    Springfield man arrested after loaded ghost gun seized

    According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, at around 12:05 a.m. officers received a ShotSpotter activation in the area of the 0-100 block of Belmont Ave. The victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center privately.

    No word on any arrests at this time.
