NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – The Paradise City Arts Festival in Northampton is celebrating 30 years of contemporary art.

Monday marked the final day of the season for its fall showcase.

“For this show, I brought up my abstract pieces, these are marbles and onyx and there’s a limestone piece and they come from all over the world,” shared Jim Rosenthal, a local sculptor. Paradise City Arts is a world-class festival with craft exhibits for home décor and everyday outfits. This year the festival gave attendees the opportunity to become one of the artists.

In honor of thirty years of the Paradise City Arts Festival, the community is taking part in painting a mural that will soon be displayed inside the Northampton City Hall as of late November. The names of each artist will soon be on a plaque right next to the mural. The town of Northampton is bringing the community closer through their love for art.

The Paradise City Arts Festival is held twice a year, once in the spring and in the fall with the mission to promote art in everyday life. “We come here because we love all the amazing art, all the different vendors, and just so much creativity. There are so many wonderful ideas it’s always so inspiring,” shared Lynn Adler.
