CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A new public safety initiative is underway at the Chicopee Police Department to help keep its neighborhoods safe.

413 Card Show returns to Castle of Knights in Chicopee

Chicopee home and business owners with security cameras are encouraged to register with the Real Time Crime Center. It’s an online portal that can help police quickly solve crimes without having to go door-to-door looking for suspects or evidence. Registration does not allow live video access but only gives camera location information for use when an incident occurs.

Investigators will contact camera owners only if they need assistance collecting camera footage. If approved, Chicopee would be the first Massachusetts city to roll out this system.
