    Mass. collects $40.8-million in taxes on gaming in September

    BOSTON (WWLP)– Massachusetts casinos and sports betting took in over $165 million in taxable revenue in September, paying $40.8 million in taxes to the state.

    The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) reports that September’s income from the state’s three casinos, (Plainridge Park, MGM Springfield and Encore Boston Harbor) generated some $92.06 million in Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR).

    Sports wagering revenue between the eight mobile/online sports wagering licensees and the three in-person licensees was reported at $73.49 million for September.
