SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield Symphony Orchestra is kicking off its 81st season this weekend.

If you’re someone who loves instruments and music, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra is back and the musicians are ready to perform for the community.

Wednesday, Springfield Mayor Sarno welcomed the Springfield Symphony Orchestra President and CEO Paul Lambert and the New Artistic Advisor to his office to celebrate another season.
The Symphony Orchestra will open this Saturday. This season is called, the 81st season, “A Tapestry of Music.”

This concert season will feature nine performances, with world themes to highlight the universal language of music. Organizers say this is one of its most diverse and creative seasons.

Lambert told 22News, “It is such a joy to bring this beautiful concert to downtown Springfield. We are so honored to have the opportunity and the responsibility to be a part of the great history of this organization while working collectively to build a vibrant downtown community.”
