WATERBURY, Conn. (WWLP) – Detectives are being recognized for their efforts in combatting organized retail theft from T.J. Maxx and Marshalls.

Enfield police captures four suspects in stolen vehicle

According to the Connecticut State Police, during an investigation, the suspects obtained merchandise from one location using counterfeit money and then returned the same product to another location for a cash refund. This happened at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls stores throughout Connecticut and New York.

In September three suspects were arrested in connection with the organized theft. Police seized counterfeit currency and recovered stolen merchandise.

Last Wednesday, TJX Companies, Inc. recognized detectives from the Connecticut State Police Statewide Organized Crime Task Force, Organized Retail Theft Task Force, and Waterbury Police Department Violent Crimes Task Force.
