    1st Ave in Chicopee closed due to deadly crash

    CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – First Ave, which intersects with Burnett Road in Chicopee, is closed due to a deadly motor vehicle crash Friday morning.

    Minor injuries reported in three-car crash in Springfield

    Chicopee Police Officer Travis Odiorne told 22News that one person had died following a multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer.

    Drivers are being asked to seek an alternate route at this time. Traffic along Burnett Road is slowly moving due to the crash.

    According to the Chicopee Police Department, the Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the cause. 22News is following this story and will update as soon as additional information is released.
