    Brush fire put out near Old Sturbridge Road in Brimfield

    BRIMFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Firefighters in eastern Hampden County were able to put out a quickly spreading brush fire in Brimfield on Sunday.

    Officials investigating deadly brush fire in Millbury

    According to the Brimfield Fire Department, the fire was reported shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Sunday near Old Sturbridge Road. Firefighters found a large area of brush burning and the flames spread quickly due to the dry and windy conditions.

    Several local fire departments, such as crews from Sturbridge, Brookfield, Palmer, Wales, Holland, Warren, and Monson were called in to help and the fire was brought under control quickly.
