(AP) — The owners of twelve Pennsylvania casinos have asked the state’s highest court to declare that a tax on slot machine revenue is unconstitutional because the state doesn’t impose it broadly on cash-paying electronic game terminals known as skill games that can be found in many bars and stores.

Greenwood Racing Inc., the parent company of Parx Casino, has announced that its subsidiary has purchased The Inn at Fox Chase at 3327 State Road in Bensalem Township, Bucks County. The iCan Bike Camp rides through Pennsylvania for kids with disabilities
This bike camp rides through many places, and it made a pit stop in Pennsylvania.It's part of the nonprofit, iCan Shine, and teaches kids with disabilities how to ride bikes.At the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, a team of volunteers gave 1-on-1 guidance with the children.Not only do the kids pick up biking, but also a sense of confidence learning a new skill."It's so much more than just learning to ride a bike. It's the confidence and self-esteem that they build for themselves. It's the inclusion with neighborhood friends and schoolmates. DALLAS, Pa. — Penn State Wilkes-Barre's Friedman Art Gallery is hosting a new solo exhibition by artist Seth Ellison entitled “Lost in Paradise.” The exhibit, which will feature a variety of Ellison’s paintings, runs from Sunday, Aug. 18, through Tuesday, Oct. 29, and is free and open to the public weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Friedman Art Gallery is located inside the campus’ Nesbitt Academic Commons.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre library to host first board game convention
DALLAS, Pa. — If you are feeling “board” this summer, check out Penn State Wilkes-Barre's Nesbitt Library from 9 a.m. to about 4 p.m. on Aug. 1 and 2. Librarians will hold the first of what they say they hope will become an annual board game convention. It is open to all Penn State Wilkes-Barre staff, faculty and students and any library employees across the commonwealth, as well as members of the local community at no cost. Volunteers interested in teaching games are also welcome.
Pet Boa constrictor reunited with owner after brief escape in Tunkhannock
Tunkhannock, Wyoming Co. — A 13-foot-long pet Boa constrictor was reunited with its owner Sunday in Tunkhannock after leaving its owners home Saturday. Once Elizabeth the Boa wandered off her owners home the community quickly helped search for her. Elizabeth the boa was later found not too far away from home ands found a dark cool place to hide underneath a neighbor's shed .
