(Christopher Six/WYDaily)</figcaption></figure><p>NEW KENT — Colonial Downs Racetrack announced its decision to reschedule live racing on Thursday and Friday due to the anticipated impact of Tropical Storm Debby.</p><p>Racing scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 8 and Friday, Aug. 9 will be rescheduled to Monday, Aug. 12 and Tuesday Aug. 13, respectively, Colonial Downs said.</p><p>The decision was made due to the possiblity of adverse racing conditions, as well as safety concerns for those shipping in or traveling to participate.</p><p>Additionally, Colonial Downs said its team is currently working closely with experts to determine if the risk of heavy rain will impact the timing of the Colonial Downs Festival of Racing scheduled for Saturday. A decision on those scheduled races is expected by 5 p.m. Wednesday when more accurate data is available.</p></div></body>
