Women to Watch Summer Speaker Series — REinspire: Conversations to Find Your Purpose and Passion

WYE MILLS — Since 2020, APG Media of Chesapeake has recognized women in Mid-Shore communities with the annual Women to Watch program.

In 2024, community members nominated over 350 women across the Mid-Shore as Women to Watch. To continue the momentum and enthusiasm these communities have for the Women to Watch Program, APG will present the second annual Summer Speaker Series, “REinspire: Conversations to Find Your Passion and Purpose.”

Each event will include networking with other community leaders, a light breakfast from a local restaurant, a discussion panel from Women to Watch leaders and, new this year, small group mentoring.

The first series event will take place from 8 to 10 a.m., Thursday, June 20, at Chesapeake College, HPAC Room 141, in Wye Mills.

Panelists will include: Shelly Gross-Wade, principal consultant and CEO of Bay Crossing Consulting; Kim Montooth, assistant vice president of M&T Bank; Shawna D. Payne, MBA, CHC, founder and coach of The BE Academy; and Liz Verhelle, financial advisor of Edward Jones; moderated by Carrie-Ann Barrow, executive coach, owner, author of Scaling Strategies.

During the panel discussion, attendees will learn from the speakers as they share personal and professional stories from their career and development. Following this engaging dialogue, participants will break into small groups to speak panelists and fellow attendees about their own personal and professional challenges.

The discussions and small group mentoring sessions are designed to inspire, enrich and empower attendees as community leaders. Tickets are $30.
