North Carolina woman loses life in West Virginia ATV accident

WYOMING COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – A North Carolina woman lost her life in an ATV accident in Wyoming County. The West Virginia State Police released the following statement:

“On Sunday, June 30, 2024, at approximately 11:30 am, Cpl. M. C. Shifflette of the Jesse Detachment responded to an ATV crash in the Herndon area of Wyoming County. During Cpl. M. C. Shifflette’s investigation, it was determined the victim was not wearing a seatbelt or helmet. The victim, identified as 41 year old Victoria Ledford of Mount Holly, NC, was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol and/or drug use was not found to be a contributing factor in the crash. The status of this investigation remains active.”
