WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A domestic situation between a couple ensued after watching Trump’s acceptance speech.

On July 19, 2024, at approximately 1 a.m., Deputy H. Walker was sent to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the Ravendiff area of Wyoming County.

Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with a female victim who revealed that she had lived with her boyfriend, Aaron Shields, for ten years. She noted that he had begun to drink heavily over the past year.

The victim recounted, “Tonight we finished watching the Trump Rally around one o’clock. I was preparing dinner when we began to argue. He called me useless, which upset me. Then, he brought up my deceased father. I responded to him, and he suggested that I should take the gun and shoot myself. I went to my craft room, but he kicked the door off its hinges and threatened that it would be worse than two weeks ago. About two weeks prior, he had stomped on my ankle and struck me with a flashlight. I feared that this incident could be even more severe. Afterward, he walked around the house threatening me and throwing items.”

The deputy observed that the craft room door was off its hinges and noted several holes in the walls. Additionally, the victim had her foot bandaged due to prior injuries.

At this point, Mr. Shields was arrested and taken to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
