WYOMING, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Two people have been arrested after police say they fled the scene of a crash involving a stolen car.

According to the Wyoming Area Regional Police Department, on July 9 officers were called to the 400 block of Shoemaker Avenue for a crash involving one car into a structure.

Officers said they were told the people inside the car left the scene and descriptions were given to find them. Before arriving at the scene, two people were seen by police who matched the description of the suspects.

Police say the suspects were identified as Scott Vankeren and Javon Dawson and when officers approached them they became aggressive.

The suspects eventually admitted to stealing the car before they crashed it. The two were arrested and charged through the central court.
