DENVER — A new exhibition called “Wild Things: The Art of Maurice Sendak” comes to the Denver Art Museum next week, presenting a plethora of art created by Sendak, the illustrator and author of the book “Where the Wild Things Are.”

This exhibit was made to honor the award-winning author and artist, who passed away in 2012. Sendak also wrote and illustrated more than 25 books of his own, including “In the Night Kitchen,” “Outside Over There” and “Nutshell Library.”
