Crestview valedictorian named Student Athlete of the Week

COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – Crestview senior Ethan Feezle ‘s work ethic, on and off the field, is what has put him in the position he is today.

“Give 100%. That’s all you do — give 100% at school, give 100% on practice, go on game day, give 100%,” Feezle said. “Don’t leave anything left in the tank, man, you just got to go for it. I mean, do you give 100%, you’ll succeed.”

By the end of it, Feezle will collect four varsity letters in baseball and a perfect 4.0 grade point average, he’s definitely has the time management part down to a science.

“Make the most of your free time. I mean, if I have time, I usually spend it on studying for a test or doing any extra homework I got and then I’ll come to the field practice,” Feezle said. “I mean, for the most part, if I have time to do schoolwork, that’s what I’m going to spend on.”

Now down the stretch of his senior year, the fact he will be one of the Rebels valedictorians for the class of 2024, shows the work behind the scenes that people don’t get to see.

“That’s very satisfying and it’s also a big relief,” Feezle said. “I mean, all that effort that you put into getting something you want and then finally achieving it, it’s just feels so good.”

He’s set the ultimate example for his teammates as well: First Team All-Conference, Honorable Mention All-District on the field, on top of his academics.

“You get to see some of these kids and they they look up to you and it’s just a great experience, just being able to know that you’re going to let them follow in your path,” Feezle said. “That you’re going to let them enjoy the fruits of Crestview baseball, and that they’re going to continue that on.”

For Ethan, he’ll continue at Youngstown State next year while studying excercise science with an interest in physical therapy.
