Easterseals expands to 6 additional counties, changes name

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Easterseals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties is announcing a new name as it expands its reach across Ohio.

Now known as Easterseals of Northeast Ohio, the new name reflects that.

The change marks a significant expansion of its service area to six additional counties — Ashtabula, Geauga, Portage, Carroll, Tuscarawas and Holmes.

The expansion brings access to life-changing resources for individuals and families throughout the region.

“I think this is a great opportunity, too, for us to sort of reintroduce ourselves to the community. We’ve been around for a really long time but I’m not sure everyone knows all of the really impactful services we provide. We’ve been talking about it for what seems for months. We’re very, very excited to be able to bring all of the great services we provide to a whole new host of people,” said Jody Klase, CEO of Easterseals.

Clients shouldn’t notice any difference and access to services won’t be impacted.

The organization will be keeping its headquarters in Youngstown.
