Man wounded in shooting on Youngstown expressway

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A man is at St. Elizabeth Health Center after he was wounded in a shooting at about 1:40 p.m. Friday on the Himrod Avenue Expressway.

The man was in a car traveling westbound where the expressway merges into Interstate 680.

A police spokesman said the victim was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle.

It is not known if the victim is the driver of the car or a passenger.

The entrance to 680 north and Market Street was blocked.
