PhotoFest: Cheyenne East Edges Natrona in 4A Football
Some football games are decided by 6 plays or less and the Cheyenne East-Natrona match-up on Friday was one of those games. Both teams had their struggles and yet at the same time, both teams made some timely plays. As it turns out, East blocked an extra point in the last 20 seconds of the game to escape with a 14-13 win.

Wyoming High School Football Week 5 Schedule: Oct. 3-5, 2024
Prep football teams around the state of Wyoming are ready for Week 5 in the 2024 season. There is one game on Thursday, but the vast majority are on Friday. Six are on Saturday. Six games, as of now, have ranked teams squaring off. That could change when the new rankings come out on Wednesday. Several of these games are Homecoming games for various schools in the state.
Wyoming High School Football Standings: Sept. 29, 2024
Four weeks of the 2024 Wyoming High School football season is in the books. All five classes are underway with conference games. Twelve undefeated teams remain in the state. Five teams are winless in 2024. One of those teams is Guernsey-Sunrise. It was decided last week, that the Vikings are forfeiting the remainder of their nine-man season. That means they will finish winless. Besides one forfeit victory in Week 4, only one other team did not play. Here are the standings through Sept. 28, 2024.

The prep tennis season came to an end for 2024 in Gillette and there were more than a few shining moments. In the girls' #1 Singles state championship match, Cheyenne Central's Hailey Mathis-Breitkopf rolled to a 6-0 6-0 win over Jackson's Carolina Brokaw. She did not lose a single match during the regular season and did not lose a set at the State Tournament. Mathis-Breitkopf is used to winning as she was the reigning #2 Singles state champion for the last 2 years.

The Wyoming State High School Tennis Tournament concluded on Saturday in Gillette with clear skies and warm temperatures. Most Of Southeast Wyoming Facing Critical Fire Danger
A Red Flag Fire Warning has been posted for most of southeast Wyoming for today [Sept. 29]. The warning is in effect for today from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. As of 8 a.m., Laramie was included in the warning area, but Cheyenne was not.
