Solar eclipse viewing party at Yadkin County Public Library

    2024-04-03

The Yadkin County Public Library will host a viewing party for the partial solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. The event is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be a live feed from the NASA website showing out on the main floor at the library from 1:45 p.m. — 4:30 p.m. The meeting room will have four to five craft stations for kids, while supplies last, from 1 p.m. — 5 p.m.

From about 3:10 p.m. — 3:20 p.m., attendees will go outside and use the few ISO-certified eclipse glasses that they have to view the eclipse safely — one pair per family, while supplies last.

Always view a solar eclipse using reputable (ISO 12312-2 approved) eclipse glasses or viewers. Do not use sunglasses to view the eclipse.

For more information contact the Yadkin County Public Library at 336-679-8792.
