    Yadkin Board approves amendment to opioid litigation

    During its May 6 Board meeting, the Yadkin County Board of Commissioners approved a 3-year contract with Innovative Employer Health Solutions to operate the Employee Wellness Clinic. The board also approved an amendment to the Interlocal Agreement with Rowan County for Environmental Health Services, as well as a contract with Federal Engineering to perform project management services for construction of a new VIPER tower and 911 Communications Center relocation.

    The board authorized County Manager Lisa Hughes to confirm agreement to amend the Opioid Litigation complaint to include pharmacy benefit managers and their related subsidiaries.

    Additional items approved during Monday’s meeting included: revisions to the Home and Community Care Block Grant FY2024 Funding Plan, the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council FY2025 Funding Plan., and recommended reappointments to the Voluntary Ag District Advisory Board.

    During the meeting three legislative public hearings for RZ24-004, RZ24-005, and RZ24-006 were scheduled for May 20 at 7 p.m.
