    Birds Through a Camera’s Lens in Welborn Gallery

    The Yadkin Arts Council will present “Birds Through a Camera’s Lens” May 2 — June 21 in the Welborn Gallery at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, May 2 from 5-7 p.m. in the Welborn Gallery to celebrate this exhibit. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.

    Birds Through a Camera’s Lens, by bird photographer David Collins, features original bird photographs from the Americas printed on metal panels using a HD sublimation process. This exhibit is presented in partnership with the Yadkin Arts Council and Audubon NC. Photos will be available for sale and proceeds will benefit these organizations.

    About the Artist:

    David Collins, MD retired from medical practice 10 years ago and found a second career and passion as a bird photographer. He has photographed birds locally, across the US and Canada, and in Central and South America. He is active with various land and wildlife conservancies and hopes his photography can be of benefit in focusing attention on the protection of birds, land preservation, and climate change. He has lived in Winston Salem with his wife Carole for the past thirty years.

    The Welborn Gallery in the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center is located at 226 E. Main St., Yadkinville. The gallery is open Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m. — 4:30 p.m. and during special events.
