EPA, DOJ sue 3 Lower Yakima Valley dairies over nitrate groundwater contamination
LOWER YAKIMA VALLEY, Wash. — The Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Justice have filed a federal lawsuit against three dairies in the Lower Yakima Valley, alleging that they failed to control nitrate leaching into the groundwater.

YAKIMA- After a night of increased fire activity across the state, the American Red Cross now has two open shelters to support wildfire evacuees. All individuals under level 3 evacuations are asked to get to safety immediately.Anyone in an area of increased fire risk is asked to use extreme caution and be prepared as conditions can evolve quickly.
