Atari has unveiled the 7800+ ($129.99), another miniature retro console that this time brings the more powerful 1986 system to modern gamers. Like the Atari 2600+ before it, the 7800+ is a dead ringer for a real model hit with a shrink ray, and it has an HDMI output for connecting it to today's TVs.

Atari and Plaion today revealed a new console created from their partnership: The Atari 7800+ console, a modernized recreation of the 1986 7800 console. The updated console has HDMI connectivity and comes with a Wireless CX78+ Gamepad, and is also compatible with Atari 2600 and 7800 cartridges. According to Atari, the 7800+ is now available for pre-order with a planned launch date in winter 2024.
