Law enforcement track & arrest man with several warrants
YANKTON/LESTERVILLE, S.D. (KELO) — On Monday, law enforcement received tips on a man’s whereabouts who had several warrants in multiple counties. According to the Yankton County Sheriff’s Office, 48-year-old Lee Stizman is a parole abscounder from Polk County, Iowa and has a no bond warrant. Stizman also had warrants out of Yankton County for his failure to appear in court and aggravated eluding law enforcement.
Names Released in Yankton County Fatal Crash
A 30-year-old man suffered fatal injuries Tuesday morning in a two vehicle crash seven miles west of Yankton, SD. Preliminary crash information indicates Andrew L. Kotalik, the driver of a 2008 Chevrolet Colbalt, was traveling westbound on SD Highway 50 near mile marker 375. At that location, a deceased deer was laying in the westbound roadway. Kotalik hit the deer, lost control of the vehicle, and entered the eastbound lane. At the same time, Douglas A. Zimmerman, the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet Colbalt, was approaching from the opposite direction and collided with Kotalik. Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch.

Flash Flooding has occurred in parts of Siouxland this morning. As of just before 11:30am, southern parts of Yankton County in South Dakota, and northern parts of Cedar County in Nebraska, have seen as much as 2-4" of rainfall, and additional 1-3" of rainfall could fall.
