FORT WORTH, Texas (KLTV) - Former New Diana Eagle and Texas Tech Red Raider Austin Green was selected by the Yankees in the 14th round of the 2024 MLB draft. As a senior at Tech, Green batted .322 with eight home runs and 45 RBI. His junior year, he batted .290 with 12 home runs and 57 RBI. In the field, Green recorded just three errors for a .968 fielding percentage, compared to 12 errors in 2023.

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The Tyler City Council unanimously approved a tax rebate which will pave the way for Bass Pro Shops to expand to Tyler. “It’s a big deal to us, and we hope it’s a big deal for the community,” said Tyler Mayor Don Warren. “I understand people are totally excited about it, and we’re glad to have them coming. It’s gonna be a draw from people that live all over East Texas.”
