    Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is coming off his second season-ending injury since entering the league as the No. 1 overall pick in 2020.

In Week 11 of last season, the 27-year-old suffered a torn Scapholunate ligament in his right wrist, which forced him to miss the remainder of the year.

Burrow has been working his way back all offseason, and on Monday, he received massive news in his effort to return to action.

According to Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Burrow has been fully cleared for contact. The news comes just two days before the Bengals open their training camp.

To what degree fans will see Burrow during the preseason is still up for debate, but head coach Zac Taylor revealed he will see the field to some capacity in the coming weeks.

Taylor says he expects Burrow and all starters to play at some point this preseason, per Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic. Although, he added that the team will be proactive in easing him through camp with eyes on being in top form closer to the season.

That is smart of Cincinnati as Burrow has been one of the best quarterbacks in the league when healthy, throwing for 14,083 yards and 97 touchdowns in the past four seasons.

However, that is something he has struggled to be. During Burrow's rookie year, he tore his ACL and MCL in his left knee.

The only thing that seems can slow down Burrow and the Bengals are injuries. If Burrow can stay healthy, he will give Cincinnati a chance to contend for its first Super Bowl once again this season.

Taylor likes what he's seen thus far.

"He's been accurate, he's been on time, throwing with great velocity and power. I like what I see," Taylor said via Olivia Ray of WLWT.
