WWE may have unearthed a new star in Jacob Fatu. "The Samoan Werewolf" has become an instant hit with the fan base and has enjoyed some big physicality spots against some of the best wrestlers WWE has to offer. Fatu is The Bloodline's new enforcer, filling a similar role to what Solo Sikoa did for Roman Reigns.

However, Fatu injured his leg after jumping off the top rope to hit Cody Rhodes with a splash through the announce table. You could visibly see Fatu clutching his leg after the landing, although at the time, it was hard to tell whether there was a legitimate injury in play.

Fatu missed the following episode of "SmackDown," fueling concerns that he could be out of action for the foreseeable future. However, according to PWInsider Elite, Fatu will return to on-screen duties and in-ring action before the end of August.

That timeline will be welcomed news for WWE, too, as Fatu had recently won the WWE Tag Team Championship alongside Tama Tonga. However, Sikoa's role as the Tribal Chief has allowed the titles to be shared by members of The Bloodline rather than being directly linked to Fatu, thus removing the risk of him being forced to abdicate his belt.

The Bloodline story is set to enter its next phase. Roman Reigns could potentially reunite with Jimmy and Jey Uso, along with Sami Zayn, in what could become an extremely hot storyline in the coming months. Fatu's presence will play a major role. He's proven to be capable of being a main-event talent and a potential draw in the future.

Fatu was fortunate to avoid a major injury. A few weeks away from television won't halt the momentum he had begun to generate for himself. Furthermore, it will allow The Bloodline story to continue developing at a steady pace. WWE stumbled onto a potential star of the future in Fatu. A long-term injury would have come at the worst possible time.
