Growing up the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison has made life interesting for Arizona Cardinals rookie first-round pick Marvin Harrison Jr. as he tries to blaze his own path to the NFL.

And while the 22-year-old wideout is used to people comparing him to his father, there’s another player he’s starting to get paralleled with — Cardinals great Larry Fitzgerald.

During a recent interview with SiriusXM Radio , Harrison Jr. explained how he feels being juxtaposed with someone of Fitzgerald’s caliber.

“You've got to think that I've been compared to a Hall of Famer my whole life,” Harrison Jr. said. “Going into this situation is not much different at this point. I'm just going to embrace it. There's never going to be another Larry. Larry was great. I'm just trying to be the next me.”

Fitzgerald will go down as one of the NFL’s all-time greats. He ended his career second to only Jerry Rice in all-time receptions (1,432) and receiving yards (17,492) while logging the sixth-most touchdowns catches (121) in NFL history.

Harrison Sr. wasn’t too shabby either, finishing fifth, ninth and fifth, respectively, in those same categories.

A Biletnikoff Award winner (top WR in college football) and a two-time unanimous All-American, Harrison Jr. left a pretty good legacy for himself at Ohio State. Though he has some big shoes to fill in the NFL, the No. 4 overall pick of the draft isn’t worried about living up to certain expectations.

“I just feel like I'm supposed to be here, this is what I'm supposed to do,” Harrison Jr. said. “I'm living out my dream, so I'm never trying to put too much pressure on myself. Obviously, I'm super hard on myself on the field, I just want to be the best that I can be, but I just feel like I'm supposed to be here, so that's my mindset the whole time.”
