NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Sheldon Creed.

The Haas Factory Team has officially started its rebuild, and it's grabbed two solid young drivers to pilot its Xfinity Series cars.

The team announced on Saturday that Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer will drive its NASCAR Xfinity Series cars in 2025, officially completing the 2025 roster. Cole Custer will drive its lone Cup Series entry next season, making Haas one of the youngest teams in the sport.

With Stewart-Haas Racing closing at the end of the season, the Haas Factory Team will be the remnants of the championship organization. Both Creed and Mayer give the team Xfinity Series drivers with the potential to win on a weekly basis — and a nice talent pool for both Haas and Ford to draw from in the future.

Haas will be the third Xfinity Series team in three years for Creed, while Mayer's move to Haas will mark his first full-time Xfinity Series season apart from JR Motorsports.

Having an abundance of young talent and championship-caliber cars isn't something most NASCAR teams can boast about. While Haas' future performance is a massive unknown, signing capable young stars is a big step forward for a team that will a good start out of the gate.

Creed and Mayer are both chasing the 2024 Xfinity Series championship with Joe Gibbs Racing and JR Motorsports, respectively, and will take the next step toward the playoffs in Saturday's race at Michigan. Creed will start on the pole for the Cabo Wabo 250, with Mayer starting 11th.
