ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter.

NFL Network's Rich Eisen is well known for his perennial "Run Rich Run" segment at the league scouting combine, where the television host runs the 40-yard dash to raise money for St. Jude Children's Hospital.

But Saturday at Fanatics Fest in New York City, Eisen was challenged to another 40-yard race by a fellow media colleague.

ESPN's Adam Schefter posted a video on X of the two University of Michigan alums going head-to-head — and Schefter appearing to come out on top.

Eisen responded to Schefter's post after the race, saying, "Next time: no lace-up boat shoes for me and less of a face-plant at the end for you."

Indeed, the ESPN insider can be seen tripping at the end of his video and falling into a soft barrier. Schefter replied to his post with a picture of his torn-up knees captioned "The price of pummeling @richeisen."

Retired twelve-year NFL veteran J.J. Watt chirped Schefter in a reply to his post , saying, "Gotta watch out for that white line at the end, it'll get ya."

It's unclear if Schefter and Eisen will have a rematch at the 2025 NFL Combine.
