    Archie Griffin.

A statue honoring legendary Ohio State running back Archie Griffin was unveiled at the Rose Bowl Stadium on Saturday.

ESPN's Holly Rowe posted a video on X of the unveiling ceremony in Pasadena, Calif., calling Griffin a "legend and class in every moment."

The 69-year-old was present for the ceremony and gave a speech thanking the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation for the honor, ending it with a classic rendition of his alma mater's "O-H-I-O" cheer.

Ohio State athletic director Ross Bjork, who was also present in Pasadena, announced on X that Griffin will also have a statue unveiled in Columbus on Aug. 30 at Ohio Stadium's rotunda.

Griffin's Rose Bowl statue is the first erected in his honor in the entire country. He joins other illustrious honorees like Jackie Robinson and Keith Jackson in the Rose Bowl Stadium's Court of Champions.

Griffin is the only player in NCAA history to win the Heisman Trophy twice (1974, 1975) and is one of only two players to start in four consecutive Rose Bowls (1972-1975), winning it once in 1974.

He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1986 and the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame in 1990.
