With only two weeks left in the 2024 PGA Tour season, the top 50 remaining players in the FedEx Cup standings will head to the mountains this weekend for the BMW Championship at Castle Pines Golf Club. There isn't much value to be found in long shots this week due to the limited field, but we can still make some dough on a few higher-priced players entering the second leg of the playoffs in good form.

Here are the two long shots we're targeting with outright and finishing position bets for the BMW Championship.

    Taylor Pendrith (+10000 FanDuel )

Pendrith has quietly been playing excellent golf over the last few months. The Canadian has a win and 10 top-23 finishes in his last 10 starts, and he's finished T5, solo fifth and T22 in his last three events.

Castle Pines is going to play as the longest golf course in PGA Tour history at over 8,100 yards, which will give Pendrith a huge advantage over the shorter hitters in the field. Pendrith ranks 15th on Tour this season in driving distance, and he's cleaned up his accuracy issues from earlier in the year. The veteran is also coming off his best iron week of the season at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

The winning score this week is likely to end up close to 20 under par, so you're going to need to make some putts to contend. Well, Pendrith ranks 12th in strokes gained from putting, and he's gained strokes on the green in seven of his last eight starts.

    Top-10 finish: +550; Top-20 finish: +180

    Max Greyserman (+10000 Bet365 )

We were worried about Greyserman last week coming off his epic collapse at the Wyndham Championship, and he stumbled out of the gate with a 5-over 75 to put himself in dead last place after the first round. That didn't kill his spirits, though, as the rookie went 9 under the rest of the week to grind out a T33 finish. He fired a 7-under 63 on Sunday to sneak into the top 50 and punch his ticket to the BMW Championship. This kid's got some fight in him.

If you take out his 75 from last week, Greyserman is 41 under par over his last 11 rounds on the PGA Tour. He notched back-to-back runner-up finishes leading up to the playoffs. Greyserman can absolutely bomb it off the tee, which we know will help his cause at this monster of a golf course, and he's gained a whopping 17.04 true strokes from putting over his last three starts. If his putter can stay hot and the irons come to play this week, Greyserman could contend for a win.

    Top-10 finish: +500; Top-20 finish: +170
