    CM Punk.

CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series in November 2023. His momentum was quickly halted by a triceps injury he suffered at Royal Rumble to begin the year. However, since returning from injury and becoming a staple of "Monday Night Raw," Punk has found himself in a slowly building storyline with Drew McIntyre.

Punk's return followed a messy exit from AEW following his altercation with Jack Perry at AEW All In 2023. However, it would appear Punk is happy with how things turned out, as he recently praised the talent level within the WWE locker room.

"I'm grateful because of the embarrassment of riches I'm surrounded with," Punk said during a recent appearance on "The Masked Man Show" podcast. "I don't think a roster has been as strong as it is. Cody [Rhodes is] killing it. Jade [Cargill is] killing it. We have Damian Priest coming into his own. I'm going to get in trouble for forgetting to mention some certain people."

WWE is thriving, drawing record-breaking crowds and incredible viewership for both "Raw" and "SmackDown." Paul "Triple H" Levesque has helped usher in a new era for the company, enticing former fans to the show and expanding the scope to continue bringing in more casual viewers.

Punk's return has undoubtedly contributed to WWE's rise in popularity. For better or worse, he's one of the biggest draws in the world and continues to produce on the microphone and in between the ropes. The risk WWE took when bringing him back to its roster is paying dividends, not only on television but also with his work to promote the company.

Nevertheless, Punk's comments are right on the money. WWE has a strong roster across both of its main promotions. Numerous main-event talents and multiple young stars are slowly working their way into the conversation. WWE is experiencing its strongest period since the Attitude Era, and that's no coincidence. It will be interesting to see how it keeps pushing forward and what's next for Punk's storyline.
