    Cleveland Browns quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

With Deshaun Watson holding down the starting quarterback job and Jameis Winston brought in as the Cleveland Browns' new backup, second-year signal-caller Dorian Thompson-Robinson is the odd man out.

And from the sound of it, his days with the franchise could be limited, as he's reportedly been discussed in trade talks.

Thompson-Robinson, drafted in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft by Cleveland, received the starting nod in three games as a rookie with Watson sidelined due to injury. He's spent the offseason competing for the team's No. 3 quarterback job with Tyler Huntley, and according to Zac Jackson of The Athletic , the Browns have discussed trades involving the second-year signal-caller with "multiple teams."

According to Jackson, the Browns could attempt to deal Thompson-Robinson to acquire an experienced offensive lineman or experience at another position.

The former UCLA quarterback posted a 1-2 record as a starter last season, completing 60-of-112 pass attempts for 440 yards with a touchdown and four interceptions. Thompson-Robinson also tacked on 65 rushing yards on 14 attempts, an area where he was far more active over his final two collegiate seasons.

Including the 2021 and 2022 seasons at UCLA, he totaled 1,254 yards on the ground with 21 touchdowns.

It's unknown which teams the Browns have spoken with about a potential deal, but with the Aug. 27 deadline to cut rosters down to 53 players just around the corner, if a trade is going to happen, it'll have to come together quickly.
