New York Yankees outfielders Juan Soto and Aaron Judge continue to strike fear into the hearts of pitchers.

On Tuesday night, in the bottom of the first inning against the Cleveland Guardians, Soto crushed an 83 mph changeup from starting pitcher Matthew Boyd for a 340-foot home run. Judge followed it up with a 372-foot dinger, giving the Yankees a 2-0 lead.

Citing the YES Network broadcast, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch noted that Soto and Judge have hit back-to-back homers five times this season. Johnny Damon and Mark Teixeira set the franchise record for consecutive home runs (six) in 2009 when the Yankees won their last World Series.

Per Hoch, other Yankee duos who have hit back-to-back moonshots five times include Hall of Famers Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig (1927), Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio (1936) and Garry Sheffield and Alex Rodriguez (2005).

New York lost to Cleveland 9-5 in 12 innings, but that doesn't take away from the tandem's impressive feat.

The Soto-Judge duo still has New York (73-53) in the thick of the World Series hunt and could help it win its 28th championship. Entering the Yankees' matchup vs. Cleveland, Judge was leading baseball in home runs ( 44 in 123 games ), and Soto had the fifth most (34 in 121 games). As of Tuesday, FanDuel lists both All-Stars within its top three American League MVP odds.
