    Darby Allin.

Jack Perry was the catalyst for CM Punk's departure from AEW. He went into business for himself by smashing real glass (and bragging about it) on camera. The move escalated an issue between the pair from a few weeks prior.

Darby Allin is set to face Perry for the TNT Championship at All In on Sunday. When speaking to Kenny McIntosh of "Inside The Ropes," Allin noted that he will be bringing his annoyance into the ring for the match.

"I think the best thing is when you can bring stuff that you are actually passionate about, and the fact that he did what he did last year was annoying. It was super annoying because you think of 80,000 plus fans, and then you’re gonna go into business for yourself. There’s literally people that would die for that opportunity, people that will never get to ever do that, and then you’re more focused on that. So of course I would bring that in because that p— me off. It p— off a lot of people. It’s just ungrateful."

Perry was away from AEW programming for over six months. He spent a significant portion of time with New Japan Pro Wrestling before eventually returning to AEW and teaming up with The Elite. Nevertheless, Perry undoubtedly has a lousy reputation with certain sections of the fan base and potentially some of the talent on the roster.

Allin and Perry have been with AEW since 2019. They are core pieces of the company. However, it's understandable why Allin would have a real-life issue after the risk Perry ran last year. Losing Punk was a significant blow for AEW, especially as he landed back with WWE, and Tony Khan's company has struggled to bounce back.

It will be interesting to see if any reference is made to Perry's antics last year or if Allin ups his physicality level during their match. Either way, All In projects to be a huge success for the second straight year, and for AEW, that's all that matters.
